Since last week's presentation, I decided to switch my thesis project so something else. Initially I was planning on creating some material for children to explain to them about animal rights, compassion and veganism. But, right now I'm working on some freelance work for a Vegetarian organization here in Chicago and I didn't want to overwhelm myself with the same topic. These past years, in the back of my head, I've had an idea to create a planner/organizer/journal for myself that would be tailored to my needs. I think this class will give me the opportunity to do that and allow me to push myself to create something that I'll be really proud of. This past week, I dug deep inside myself to come up with a way in which I can create something that will not only benefit myself but those around me as well.
I'm really excited to see my progress throughout these upcoming months. For next week, I plan on having digital sketches to present as well as design elements that I plan on introducing in my project. Also, I plan to document my progress on my personal website for potential employers and other students to see. I'll be doing weekly blog posts.
Wow looks great! How did you come up with the name Vigilate? What does it mean?
ReplyDeleteI'm still playing with the title but vigilate is latin for ‘watch’. i want to play with the idea of watching yourself, monitoring yourself, looking at yourself, etc.
