Why I Design

In a vast world where there are hundreds of unique languages with their own structure, information is often convoluted when translated from one language to the next. In order to help gap the barrier between interpretations, I believe visual aids are absolutely necessary in order to convey the intended meaning. As a former nursing student, I found that my biggest problem in my biology and human anatomy classes were that the information given through text did not quite click in my brain for high understanding. The information itself could be grasped, but the way it was presented made it difficult to understand.

Due to this, I started organizing the information that made more sense to me and thus started my affair with presenting information in an efficient manner. I had so much fun organizing dense information, I switched my major to design. I’d very much like to be a visual translator through all mediums. In order to do this, I use the language of design as my colorful translator. Although design is used as a clarity device, it is versatile much like an accents in spoken word. My style is my accent, that pushes the design further whilst giving it it’s own voice.
