For my Capstone Project, I would like to redesign a chapter from the Human Function and Anatomy textbook I was assigned to study throughout my stint as a Nursing major. I found the content was extremely difficult to comprehend the way it was presented. The text was small and often hard to read, the pictures, although beautiful were also hard to understand in context. The processes that presented throughout the text are sometimes not mapped out, making it hard to make connections.
Everyone learns differently, and I, as an extremely visual individual would like to take something as complicated as the human body, mapped out in visual elements. I’d like to make the text more modern looking, using easier to read typefaces and more visual aids. The pictures, would be reduced to their absolute most simplistic form. I would create more vector icons, in order to demonstrate processes in an easier way to comprehend.

week 2: Break down chapter into sections (processes)
week 3: Break down processes presented within sections
week 4: Continue breaking down processes within sections
week 5: Continue breaking down processes within sections
week 6: Redesign broken down processes

week 11: Redesign broken down processes
week 12: Start constructing book
week 13: Continue constructing book
week 14: Finish book/ send to print
week 15: Start constructing large format Poster
week 16: Finish large format poster/ send to print
week 17: Create takeaway print/ print out
week 18: Photograph and Post online
week 19: Finishing touches
