I didn't choose design, design chose me.

Why am I a designer...?
What an odd question to think about. You could theoretically ask anyone in any profession the same question, "Why are you doing what you do?" More often than not, I would hope people would respond with "Because I love it." Although, certain circumstances might mean people do things for one reason or another.

I have always considered myself an observer of things around me, quietly taking in the little details and imperfections. These made visible to me not only in objects, but people as well. As human beings we are constantly interacting with one another, whether it is with words, music, love, or even design. It's interesting how much design has effected the way I live my life, and this is in part why I am a designer.

Dreaming goes hand-in-hand with why I am a designer. There are virtually no boundaries to what one can do as a designer. Every single thing we use today (no matter how small) has been designed, and I want to be a part of that. Design has called me to be a part of that.

Deep within me lies a passion for design, the want to make people feel what I feel (or something entirely different). In order to excel in something, I believe, one has to be passionate and ambitious. Design in my life is something I am constantly looking to exceed expectations, not only for myself but for those around me as well. It is an inherent yet valuable asset to being a part of anything in life.

Design is something that chose me, and I chose to be a part of.
