Why Design?
Choosing a major is much more than a declaration of intent to study a specific area of interest. It is the beginning of something much larger. I chose to be a designer because I knew that there was something about the field that I wanted to be a part of, for the rest of my life.
From a very young age I was always drawing and doodling on anything I could find. As I became older I started to impress others with my creative work. I didn’t take art very seriously at all until I got into high school and took my first serious art class, Drawing 1. From that point on I was in love with what you could do with simple tools like a pen a paper.
Expression has always been very important in my life. One of the best creative outlets for expression is through visual design. I think the main reason why I design is because I want to be able to express my passion for life through my design work.
