Why I am a Designer;
When I was a little child, I was never good at standing up for myself and speaking out. As a child who decided to watch in the back, rather than to raise his hand to ask, I enjoyed taking my time and drawing what I observed and imagined. In that way, I realized I had much better communications with others. I also loved watching them enjoy what I made and accomplished with my creativity. With just colors and lines, I was easily able to express my feelings and thoughts and interacted with my parents and friends.
Growing up from a culture where fine arts were not respected as much as other professional divisions, I was forced to bypass the degree I wanted to pursue for awhile. Instead, I started my college as a biology major. Even though I stayed away from the art studios for a couple of years, it was always my favorite task to decorate and organize my science group presentations. I knew I was missing the biggest part of me studying numbers and facts.
After completing my military service, I really had to put things that I paused for the past years together and to start doing something for the future. Then, I realized I still am that kid who wants to take time and makes things look pretty for myself. So I chose to be a designer, a designer who has a lot to learn. Now, as a grown-up, I’m taking a few more steps with what I have learned so far. With a pinch of creativity, I believe I can talk to others and make them satisfied. This is the reason I believe that I am a designer.
