Event #2: An autobiographical
event that was significant to you. This must be something you are comfortable
working with in a public way
There were a lot
of events impacting my life that lead me down the path of healthy living. The
strongest events happened through my family.
My father went to the doctor for a physical and the doctor couldn’t
believe he was alive. The doctors said his blood pressure was so high it was
extremely dangerous for him to do anything but sleep. My mother was diagnosed
with arthritis in both of her knees. It is hard to watch my parents struggle
with health issues that can be reduce with healthier decisions. My older
brother was extremely overweight. He had a wake-up call after visiting his
doctor, who told him he HAS to take better care of his health. I had a terrible
nightmare as a child, where my bother and I were in the car crash. The car caught
on fire and I could escape out the window. My brother could fit and he burned
alive screaming for my help. There was nothing I could do. This nightmare still
haunts me until today. My brother has lost 80 lbs and doing great! I’m so proud
of him and his new healthy living. My family is very important to me. I have
learned that you can’t tell someone to change because that doesn’t always work.
The best thing is to show them you care and be an example. So I have made an example out of myself.
Working out daily, eating better and making better health decisions. I want to
encourage everyone to be healthy!

Stage 2:
Proposal:
This project is
made to encourage, inspire and motivate the viewer to live a healthier
lifestyle. Exercise is key in healthy living! I will create a campaign called TITLE, including 3 large posters, a takeaway map and a Tumbler page. Each poster will be focusing on a key exercise that can be done without equipment. These posters will use typography and digital
illustration to instruct each exercise. I want
the viewer to be able to do these exercises anywhere. The viewer could take pictures/videos of themselves and post them to the TITLE tumbler. Therefore the viewer
will become apart of the artwork. I want each poster to be really large (60in x
90in). I will create a minimum of three large prints possibly more. There will be small (5in
x 5in) print takeaway with a map (of other TITLE locations) and Q R Barcode to the Tumbler Page. Let's TITLE!

I really enjoy your motive for creating this project! I do agree that having a physical health social media page does help motivate other people into leading healthier lifestyles. I also, like in your progress that you included a bar code and an easy twitter handle for people to access the page.
