Cool idea. I see this as an opportunity to make a little dictionary or glossary book. Not sure how, but maybe you can play with that idea.
Your idea is unique. What's great about type is that it is exclusively ours: graphic designers. This will make a great project. i like that you are going to bind the book yourself as that is a good skill for a designer to use.
