Thesis Project: The Re-artification

I believe that famous painting are famous because of the perfect choice it's style. Also, style of any panting always makes anyone look and think about the painting differently. Also, every generation has it's own style and favor different style of art.

Every famous panting led me to use my imagination when I was young and I used to ask my parents a lot of question about painting like "Is the Mona Lisa a real person or it's like a cartoon character?" Then when I grew up I took art classes and I studied about a lot of famous paintings and I used to always wonder about how can artists have a style for their painting and why they chose these styles for every piece they painted.

I chose this topic because I used to draw a lot of things with different styles and I learned a lot of styles and still learning more. For example, I drew a pic of eye with the lines only. The picture is attached below.

According to “Kids Review Famous Paintings, Prove The Best Art Critics Are 5 Years Old,” I found out that I’m not the only kid that has questions and different ideas about famous paintings. Moreover, kids in this interview have different ideas and understanding of the style of the paintings and this prove my point of how style can be effective and can lead everyone not just kids to have different idea about the style.

My thesis project will be about taking famous painting and drawing them in different styles like drawing the Mona Lisa in illustrator or any other software and present it digitally, or draw it using a creative form of art. Additionally, it's going to be like new style of presenting art and creativity to make people see the value of the old drawing or painting and at the same time they will be seeing the painting in a new style.

I thought about this project because I feel that everyone must still give credit to the old painting and not just copy it or take a pic of it and sale it. I'm going to learn more about the style of each famous painting and I will create an interesting way of drawing some of the famous painting again.

The painting that I will redraw with different styles is painting randomly selected from famous artists. Additionally, I'm inspired by a guy his name is Michael Baxter; he took some famous painting and presented it with different style. Furthermore, I will have my own text in the project for each style I will create and I will use just the images of the famous original painting from Google.

  1. Your concept is great but you need to include visual examples of the styles you are selecting. You also need to proof-read your comments ;)
