THRIVE // Finalizing Identity

I spent a lot of time this week working on the identity for THRIVE, which proved to be a lot more difficult than I had initially imagined. There are many different aspects of an identity that you do not take into account until you sit down and actually begin creating. For example, I found myself asking: does the text in the logo need to be a slate color or somewhat sea-coral color? Does the word THRIVE even need to be in the logo? Where do I place this or that? Honestly, I feel like the identity I have thus far come up with may as well change in the near future.

I am fond of the typeface and colors as they invoke feelings of organization while emphasizing the natural aspects of the app. However, I feel like the logo is something I will have to spend more time on. I have pages of sketches but one idea seems just as great (or bad) as the next. I keep waiting for one to hit me in the face, but that has yet to come.

Tomorrow after class I am actually meeting with a professor to discuss the actual development of the app, and from there I will begin to wireframe and further bring THRIVE to life.

Here is my updated proposal.
